The Merchant Credential is born!
WHAT IS IT??
“La Carta del Mercante” is a cultural project to enhance the territory crossed by the historic street called VIA MERCATORUM
HOW DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
The merchant’s Card consists of a credential whose frontispiece presents the logos of the 18 municipalities crossed, the data of those who are about to travel the route and the method of walking (on foot, by bicycle, on horseback or on the back of a mule).
On the back is the regulation:
Inside is a map that reproduces the route
and distances
By opening the paper completely you will find the space intended for stamping
More than 80 accommodation facilities spread across the area are ready to welcome walkers. The stamps are all different and all worth collecting.
WHICH ARE THE PARTICIPANT ACCOMMODATION STRUCTURES?
Together with the credential, a booklet with a QR code is distributed, which lists all the participating accommodation facilities divided by municipality:
It is necessary to affix at least 11 stamps, i.e. at least 1 stamp for each sector into which the map is divided except for the sections in which the street has two route variants: Via Alta and Via Più Antica and in the stretch between Dossena and Camerata Cornello .

WHAT DO YOU GET?
Correct compilation entitles you to the withdrawal of the Testimonium, a parchment paper that certifies the progress made.
WHERE CAN THE ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES’ PAPER AND BROCHURE BE FOUND?
The Merchant’s Card and the booklet with the list of accommodation facilities are distributed at the following info points, pro loco, libraries, museums, associations and bars:
HOW TO WITHDRAW THE TESTIMONIUM?
Once the necessary stampings have been completed, send photos to the email info@laviamercatorum.it
By agreement with the compilers, the Testimonium can be collected at the Association’s headquarters on opening Sundays or on the occasion of the Association’s annual celebration or, if this is impossible, by post.
